The Humanities in Primary Schools in the UK – where now and where next?

Main speakers and workshop leaders: Presentations and discussions will be based on the recent publication of a themed issue of Education 3-13, based on the Humanities. Hear directly from the authors of their researched articles

Target Audience: Those with an interest in the humanities in primary schools, those working in H.E., local authorities, schools leaders, teachers, coordinators and independent advisers, members of the relevant subject associations and policy makers.

Note: This seminar will follow the recent publication of a themed issue of
Education 3-13, based on the Humanities. It is intended to prompt wider discussion on the issues raised in the articles. Sessions will over the current situation of the humanities in the primary schools in the four jurisdictions of the UK and the future of humanities, given that this area of the curriculum is seen to be increasingly marginalised.
