NaPTEC Purposes

Purposes

To provide a major professional forum for debate on the nature, purpose and form of the professional education of future primary school teachers.
To enhance the understanding and practice of partnership between schools and higher education institutions in the preparation of intending primary teachers.
To respond on behalf of its members to national initiatives in the field.
To provide information and disseminate research and good practice amongst its members.
To liaise with other similar interest groups in order to realise common professional objectives.
To provide an annual conference for members and others to support this continuing professional development.
